MEN’S BOWLS

Last Wednesday the Mixed Pairs Final was played with Tony Tuimauga and Lorne Burgess against Garry and Julie Fairley. This game was worthy of a final with the scores close throughout. Tony and Lorne led 25-23 after 13 ends then Garry and Julie scored four shots on the second last end. Tony and Lorne were only able to score one shot on the last end resulting in Garry and Julie winning the final 27-26.

Last weekend our club hosted a section of the Zone Presidents Pairs. The teams of Roger and Peter and Teddy and Barney were able to reach the semi-finals with Teddy and Barney going through to the final. Unfortunately for Teddy and Barney they went down in the final to the Blayney team of Garry Death and Clayton Farr (Stick Man). Good luck to Garry and Stick Man next weekend at Orange Country Club against winners of the other sections.
