MENS BOWLS
The working bee arranged for last Saturday to top dress the Ron Worboys Green has been rescheduled for this Saturday October 6 starting at 8.00am. Any members who are available, your attendance would be appreciated.
Saturday October 6 – Consistency Singles – P Markcrow v D Watt and Marker I Nelder. B Webb v L Nunn and Marker V Mirto. P Lees v G Fairley and Marker M Lawrence. The Footy Tipping party is to be held this Saturday at 6.00pm for 6.30pm. Please put your name on the list on the bar. Non Tipsters
are welcome at $25 per head.
Sunday October 7 – Canowindra Bowling Club will present live music supporting regional talent from 3pm to 6pm. This will be in conjunction with barefoot bowls and raffles and the restaurant will be open from 5pm. Sunday badge draw will be $1,400 and will be drawn between 5pm and 6pm. Must be in the club to win. Raffles to be drawn at 5.30pm with tickets on sale from 4pm.

Canowindra Bowling Cub is participating in the Buy a Bale initiative . Please see bar staff who will assist with enquiries. Friday badge draw will be $400. Bingo this Thursday 11am.

WOMENS BOWLS
Results of Semi-Final matches in the Consistency Singles played on Tuesday, 2nd October. Jenny Middleton defeated Jill Messenger 152-143. Jo Davies defeated Nancy Morrow 153-142.

Thanks to the markers who marked these two very close matches, Christine Pickard and Libby Balcombe.

There were three social games played. Jean Roth and Gwen Haydon defeated Shirley Robson and Daph Bryant 21-17. Moyna Rue and Deanna Noble defeated Joice McNaught and Sandy McDonald 27- 19. Linda Miller, Leanne Stevenson and Dianne Mooney defeated Bobbie Turner, Diane
Slattery and Betty Jenkins 19-11.

The Two Lucky Draws were won by Radka Tatterson with No. 19 on 25th September and by Gwen Haydon with No. 6 on 2nd October.

Penny Nash, Joice McNaught and Betty Jenkins represented our Club at the Millthorpe Gala Day held on Wednesday, 26th September, After two ends were played down came the rain with some hail later on, no more bowls were played. Our Ladies commented on the beautiful food served by the Millthorpe ladies.

President Betty wishes to sincerely thank the ladies who worked on the Driver Reviver roster on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th September.

Matches drawn in the Rose Bowl Handicap Singles to be played on Tuesday, 9th October are as follows – Deanna Noble v Dianne Mooney – Marker Shirley Robson – Leanne Stevenson v Gwen Haydon – Marker Joice McNaught – Daph Bryant v Diane Slattery – Marker – Betty Jenkins.
