MEN’S BOWLS
Thanks to all the members who participated in the working bee last Saturday to renovate the Ron Worboys Green. Special thanks to Garry Fairley, Tracy Bates and Robert Morris who loaned their trailers and also special thanks to Cyril and Bruce Webb for organising the rental and transportation of a coring machine from Cowra.

Another working bee is required this Saturday September 29 to top dress the Ron Worboys Green. Any members who are available your attendance would be appreciated for an 8.00am start.

Saturday October 6 – Footy Tipping Party at 6.00pm for 6.30pm. Please put your name down on the list at the bar. Non tippers are welcome at $25 per head.

Sunday badge draw will be $1,300 drawn between 5.00pm and 6.00pm. You must be in the club to win. Raffles to be drawn at 5.30pm with tickets on sale from 4.00pm.

Bingo this Thursday at 11am.

WOMEN’S BOWLS
Results of four Quarter Final matches in the Consistency Singles played on Tuesday, 25th September. Jenny Middleton defeated Libby Balcombe 151-104. Jill Messenger defeated Christine Pickard 150-105. Nancy Morrow defeated Colleen Crump 150-145. Jo Davies defeated Marion Wilson 152-133. Thanks to the markers Liz Thornberry, Leanne Stevenson, Shirley Robson and Diane Slattery.

Three social games were played Karen Cox, Daph Bryant and Dianne Mooney defeated Julie Wythes and Gwen Haydon 21-14. Radka Tatterson and Deana Noble defeated Jean Roth and Sheryn O’Malveney 19-14. Moyna Rue and Joice McNaught defeated Lorne Burgess and Sandy McDonald 26-12. The Points Score for August was won by Jeanette Wheeldon.

Daph Bryant, Sandy McDonald, Christine Pickard and Gwen Haydon competed in the Mudgee Ladies Fours Carnival held on Tuesday and Wednesday 18th and 19th September. No trophies won but they all enjoyed their time in Mudgee. It was a joy to play against such really nice and friendly ladies. The Canowindra team won one game and lost three.

Matches drawn to be played on Tuesday, 2nd October in the Semifinals of the Consistency Singles: Jill Messenger v Jenny Middleton – Marker Libby Balcombe. Nancy Morrow v Jo Davies – Marker – Christine Pickard
