MEN’S BOWLS
Last Saturday three Consistency Singles matches were played. Vinnie Mirto played against Peter Taylor where Peter held the lead 107-103 after 18 ends. Then Vinnie was in control for the rest of the game winning 151-139.

Tony Tuimauga played Alan Wyburn. After 12 ends the scores were level at 95 all then Tony was able to lead for the rest of the game winning 150-120.
In the other match Matt Cramp played against Roger Traves. Matt led throughout the game winning 151-93.

Last Sunday a Major Triples match was played with Peter Taylor, David Beath and Roger Traves against Alan Wyburn, Tony Tuimauga and Matthew Lawrence. After 13 ends the scores were level at 10 all then Matthew’s team took control of the game winning 21-13.

This Saturday the Ron Worboys Green is to be scarified and a working bee is required to assist from 8.00am. If members are available your attendance would be appreciated.

WOMEN’S BOWLS
Results of four second round matches played in the Consistency Singles on Tuesday, 18th September.
• Nancy Morrow defeated Leanne Stevenson 151-104.
• Colleen Crump defeated Diane Slattery 154-121.
• Jo Davies defeated Bobbie Turner 154-136.
• Marion Wilson defeated Liz Thornberry 158-127.

Thanks to the markers Libby Balcombe, Moyna Rue, Jenny Middleton and Jill Messenger
There was one social game played, Jean Roth, Julie Wythes and Dianne Mooney defeated Shirley Robson, Sheryl O’Malveney and Radka Tatterson 26-8.

The Lucky Draw was won by Jo Davies with No. 12.

Congratulations to The Central West District Bowlers who won the Taber Shield played in Blayney last week. The Canobolas District were Runners-up.

Due to some of our bowlers being away on Tuesday 18th, our next monthly meeting  will be held on Tuesday, 25th September. Matches drawn for the Consistency Quarter Finals are as follows. Libby Balcombe v Jenny Middleton – Marker Liz Thornberry. Jill Messenger v Christine Pickard – Marker Leanne Stevenson. Nancy Morrow v Colleen Crump – Marker Shirley Robson. Jo Davies v Marion Wilson – Marker Diane Slattery.

Come along to the Monster Market Night being held on Sunday, 23rd September after the A.G.M. which begins at 5 pm with heaps of great prizes to be won.
