MEN’S BOWLS
Last weekend Ian Nelder travelled to Dubbo to compete in the Zone Presidents Singles Sectional Playoffs. Ian was beaten in the quarter final by Graham Wilson from Molong 31-30. Graham was able to reach the final but went down to Noel Raines from Gilgandra 31-25.

Saturday July 14 – Major fours – C Webb, B McClintock, B Webb and S Kirkman v B Lees, A Robson, P Lees and Z Lees. P Kennedy, P Taylor, D Beath and R Traves v T Tuimauga, T Mooney, V Mirto and P Markcrow.

Sunday July 15 – Minor Triples – B McClintock, T Fisher and A Wyburn v L Nunn, D Watt and T Tuimauga. Minor Pairs – N Delaney and P Markcrow v M Cramp and M McMullen.

Be sure to be at the club by 1.30pm if you wish to participate in the novelty event worth a jackpot in excess of $665. This will be followed by mixed mufti bowls with names in by 1.30pm for 2.00pm start. One game of 15 ends.

WOMEN’S BOWLS
Results of three social games played on Tuesday, 10th July. Nancy Morrow and

Deanna Noble defeated Joyce Middleton and Dianne Mooney 24-17. Shirley Robson, Bobbie Turner and Colleen Crump defeated Leanne Stevenson and Daph Bryant 21-15. Linda Miller, Penny Nash and Jenny Middleton defeated Moyna Rue, Joice McNaught and Gwen Haydon 21-18.

A very successful Triples Carnival was held on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th July in the worst cold chilly sleety weather, with 16 teams competing. The players did not complain and had smiles on their faces. The winners were 1st – Dubbo, 2nd – Dubbo, 3rd – Tumut, 4th – Canowindra.
