MEN’S BOWLS
Saturday September 30 – Mixed mufti bowls with names in by 1.30pm for 2.00pm start. Sunday October 1 – O’Brien Cup – S Fisher
and B Webb v A Wyburn and P Taylor. K Walker and D Rollinson v C Webb and J Preston.

Twilight barefoot bowls will commence on Friday October 6 with names in by 6.00pm for 6.30pm start. Sausage sizzle will be available. Nominations for mixed pairs championship are now called for and will close on Sunday October 8. Coming event – Sunday October 22 Bob Bates Presidents Day. 3 games of 12 ends. 9.00am for 9.30am start. Chinese lunch. $75 per team.

WOMEN’S BOWLS
CONSISTENCY – 3rd round Janice Crump defeated Dianne Mooney 153- 152. CONSISTENCY – SEMI-FINAL Libby Balcombe defeated Moyna Rue 157-98. Thanks to the markers Ellen Petty & Joyce Middleton.

There were three social games played one 3 bowl pairs and two triples. Diane Slattery & Nancy Morrow defeated Jeanette Wheeldon & Jill Messenger 25-6. Shirley Robson, Joice McNaught & Christine Pickard defeated Liz Thornberry, Daph Bryant & Deanna Noble
17-15. Bobbie Turner, Jo Davies & Sandy McDonald defeated Jenny Daly & Gwen Haydon 16-14.

The Canowindra team of Daph Bryant, Christine Pickard, Sandy McDonald & Gwen Haydon competed in the Mudgee Fours Tournament held on 19th & 20th September. The Canowindra bowlers won one game out of three, but earlier in the Tournament they played Castle Hill and were beaten by 7 shots, which pleased our bowlers. Bowlers please note the change in bowling times, it is now names in by 8.30am for a 9am start. The Lucky Draw was won by Daph Bryant with No. 8.
