An O’Brien Cup was also played with Garry Fairley and Terry Mooney against Matt Cramp and Matt McMullen. This was a close scoring game with Garry and Terry winning by one shot 34-33.

WOMEN’S BOWLS
Results of two matches played on Tuesday, 19th September.
CONSISTENCY – 3rd round: Jo Davies defeated Jenny Middleton 154-126. Libby Balcombe defeated Joyce Middleton 154-126. Thanks to the markers Deanna Noble (and Moyna Rue) when Deanna injured her leg and Joice McNaught.

There were two social games played, one pairs and one triples. Bobbie Turner and Janice Crump had a 13 all draw against Jill Messenger and Marion Wilson. Jeanette Wheeldon, Nancy Morrow and Ellen Petty defeated Shirley Robson, Moyna Rue and Betty Jenkins 19-17. The Lucky Draw was won by Jeanette Wheeldon with No. 16. Daph Bryant, Christine Pickard, Sandy McDonald and Gwen Haydon competed in the Mudgee Fours Tournament held on 19th and 20th September. Report next week.

The Taber Shield was won by Mid-West District (in the Dubbo area) and Central Western District were Runners-up, only beaten by 12 points. Well done ladies. A very sincere welcome to our two newest members Jenny Daly and Liz Thornberry. We now have 35 members. I included Joy Beattie in the birthday list last week, but Joy is not a member, she resigned due to health problems.
