CANOWINDRA BOWLS
Presidents Day was a success with 16 teams competing with winners on the day being Chris Milburn’s team from Cowra and the runners up were the Canowindra team of Steve Fisher, Matthew Lawrence and Pat Kennedy. Round winners were teams from Grenfell, Cudal and Woodstock. Thanks to the board members and ladies who assisted with catering on the day. A special thank you
to Ron Lynch who donated a box of goodies for the raffle and for selling tickets. Saturday’s mixed pairs game was played with Matt McMullen and Marg Gosper winning 27-18 against Matthew Lawrence and Jodie Trimbell.

On Tuesday November 1st there will be mixed mufti bowls of 12 ends at 9.00am for a 9.30am start. $10 per person with lunch included. Raffles and sweeps for Melbourne Cup day. Mixed mufti bowls will continue this Thursday October 27 with names in by 1.30pm for 2.00pm start. All welcome. Depending on numbers a jackpot will commence and will carry on from week to week until won. Barefoot twilight bowls will also continue this Friday October 28 with names in by 5.30pm for 6.00pm start.

Coming events: Footy tipping party this Saturday October 29 starting at 5.30pm. Sunday November 20. Skirts Vs. Shirts annual challenge, playing for the club shield, kindly supplied by Barry Rose. Teams of triples with games of 15 ends, 9am for 9.30am start. $20 per person with lunch included. Wednesday badge draw is $250 and Friday badge draw is $200. Bingo this Thursday 11am.

WOMENS BOWLS
Tipsy, Topsy, Turvy bowls day full of fun and laughter. Winners of the day were Orange City and the Runners-up were Sandra Priest’s team from Forbes. The Lucky Numbers were Joice McNaught, Judy Houghton, Maryanne Sevy, Yvonne Johnston and Jan Kierenacki. The Spider winner to President Betty’s bowl was Daph Bryant. Raffle winners were: 1st prize Slow Cooker: Heather Hoad, 2nd prize Box of groceries: Diane Clark (Cowra), 3rd Prize Bag: Anne Mackay (Forbes). A special thanks to Shirley Robson, Ron Lynch and Ellen Petty for donating the raffle prizes. Best Dressed lady: Sheryn O’Malveney. Neatest card: Parkes Railway Diggers. Messiest card: Daph Bryant.
