WOMEN’S BOWLS
MAJOR SINGLES Results – 3rd round
Jill Messenger defeated Daph Bryant 25-22. Nancy Morrow defeated Ellen Petty 25-9. Thanks to the markers Jenny Middleton and Shirley Robson.
There were three social games played two, two bowl triples and one three bowl pairs. Dianne Mooney and Christine Pickard defeated Linda Miller, Sandy McDonald and Jo Davies 21-10. Bobbie Turner, Diane Slattery and Libby Balcombe defeated Jen-ny Daly, Deanna Noble and Gwen Haydon 23-10. Liz Thornberry and Betty Jenkins had a 16 all draw against Leanne Stevenson and Colleen Crump.
Canowindra No. 4 Pennant Team played Forbes at Forbes on Thursday 15th March. Forbes soundly beating Canowindra with an aggregate of 65-26, winning both rinks and scoring the maximum 5 points.
MEN’S BOWLS
Two matches of major singles were played last Saturday. Bruce Webb played Dool with Dool winning the game 33-25. Brent Lees won over Paul Markcrow 34-8. Three matches of minor singles were also played. Nick Delaney played Tony Tuimauga. On the last end Tony scored three shots winning the game 33-30. Tot Fisher played Glen Burrows where Glen took control of the game winning 31-20. Phil Makin played Matt McMullen in a close scoring game. Matt scored two shots on the last end winning 31-29.
Last Sunday the No 5’s won 9 points to 1 against Parkes Railway and the No 7’s also won 8 points to 2 against Gooloogong.

G Burrows, T Tuimauga, B Webb and M Lawrence. No 7’s play Grenfell at Grenfell. Teams are T Mooney, B McClintock, N Delaney and K Walker. C Webb, P Makin, M Cramp and M McMullen. D Watt, L Nunn, T Fisher and I Nelder.
