MEN’S BOWLS

Last Sunday a Major Fours match was played with Steve Kirkman, Brian McClintock, Cyril and Bruce Webb against Terry Mooney, Paul Markcrow, Tony Tuimauga  and Vinnie Mirto. After 11 ends the scores were reasonably close being 12-8 in favour of Bruce’s team. From then on Bruce’s team kept increasing their lead to win the match 24-9.

Saturday May 25 – Major Fours Semi Final – S Kirkman, B McClintock, C and B Webb v L Nunn, N Delaney, G Fairley and R Symons.
Sunday May 26 – O’Brien Cup – C Webb and L Nunn v V Mirto and B Paul. Consistency Singles – D Beath v R Symons and Marker I Nelder.

Wednesday badge draw will be $650. Friday badge draw will be $300. Sunday badge draw will be $600. Bingo this Thursday 11am.

WOMEN’S BOWLS

The Major Pairs Championship Final was played on Tuesday, 21st May. Jill Messenger and Colleen Crump defeated Nancy Morrow and Deanna Noble 30-8. Congratulations Jill and Colleen the Major Pairs Champions for 2019.

There were three social games played. Shirley Robson, Joice McNaught and Jo Davies defeated Jeanette Wheeldon, Daph Bryant and Christine Pickard 20-18. Diane Slattery, Jenny Middleton and Dianne Mooney defeated Liz Thornberry and Gwen Haydon 28-17. Betty Jenkins and Libby Balcombe defeated Joyce Middleton and Sandy McDonald 22-19.

The Lucky Draw was won by Nancy Morrow with No. 7.
