WOMEN’S BOWLS
The final of the Club Triples championship was played on Tuesday, 26th June. Joyce Middleton, Liz Thornberry and Colleen Crump defeated Jenny Middleton, Moyna Rue and Dianne Mooney 18-14. There were three games of social bowls played two triples and one pairs. Julie Wythes, Joice McNaught and Betty Jenkins defeated Bobbie Turner, Leanne Stevenson and Christine Pickard 15-8. Linda Miller, Penny Nash and Jill Messenger defeated Shirley Robson, Radka Tatterson and Daph Bryant 23-18. Jeanette Wheeldon and Deanna Noble defeated Jenny Daly and Nancy Morrow 16-13.

The Lucky Draw was won by Nancy Morrow with No. 28. The Point Score for May was won by Joice McNaught.

Two teams competed in a triples competition at Lightning Ridge on 23rd and 24th June. Sandy McDonald, Christine Pickard and Libby Balcombe and Deanna Noble, Daph Bryant and Gwen Haydon who ended up 5th out of 30 teams.

• District Observer: E Petty • Publicity Officer: S Robson, Assistant J Messenger
• Auditor: Jenny McDonald – Gooloogong

MEN’S BOWLS
Last Sunday the Fuzz Thompson Memorial Triples Tournament was held with Greg and Glen Thompson in attendance. Although the number of teams were down on previous years with 14 teams competing, it was a successful and enjoyable day. There were joint winners being the Canowindra team of Gary Fairley, Tot Fisher and Ian Nelder and Ron Bryant’s team from Gooloogong.

Round winners were R Wilson’s team from Molong, P Davis team from Molong and C Hodge’s team from Eugowra. Special thanks to our Chinese restaurant staff who served a beautiful buffet lunch and high tea.

Saturday June 30 and Sunday July 1 – Our club will host a section of the Zone Presidents Singles with nine of our bowlers competing in this event. Good luck to these bowlers.

Sunday badge draw will be $650 to be drawn between 5.00pm and 6.00pm. Friday badge draw will be $200. Bingo this Thursday 11am.

Club memberships for 2018-2019 are now due prompt payment would be appreciated.
