Canowindra At Your Fingertips: Introducing The “Canowindra Live” App

18 February, 2026 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

The Canowindra Balloon Challenge Committee is now calling on local businesses to get involved with the App.

The skies above Canowindra are about to get a digital upgrade. The Canowindra Balloon Committee is thrilled to announce the development of Canowindra Live, a comprehensive new mobile app designed to put the best of our town right in the palm of your hand.

While the app is a game-changer for the upcoming Balloon Week, its vision extends far beyond the festival. Developed with the generous support of the NSW Government and Destination NSW, “Canowindra Live”

aims to boost our local tourism economy by encouraging overnight visitation. During the peak ballooning tourism week, the app will showcase where to stay, shop, eat, and explore.

A SEAMLESS FESTIVAL EXPERIENCE

For visitors and locals attending the ballooning festivities from 11 to 19 April, the app will be an essential companion. It serves as a central hub to:

• Receive real-time notifications on balloon launch times and weather updates.

• Access the full program of events.

• Store and display digital tickets for various functions.

Perhaps the most vital feature for the busy festival periods is the offline functionality.

Connectivity can be a challenge when the crowds arrive; once downloaded, the app works without service, ensuring you can always view the schedule or present your tickets at the gate.

JOIN THE DIGITAL MAP

The Committee is now calling on local businesses to get involved. If you run a shop, cafe, or are hosting an event during the April window, they want to feature you.

To be included in the app launch, please email applications@canowindrachallenge.org.au with:

• Business Name

• Physical Address

• Trading Hours

• Any special offers or promotions you’d like to highlight.

Let’s work together to show the world that Canowindra is open for business.

Promote your business to the thousands of visitors who visit Canowindra for the Balloon Festival.
