Canowindr ChristmasDay Luncheon

19 November, 2014 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

ThePhoenix1
A friendly reminder that there are only five weeks to go until Christmas! The festive season is a time of celebration, family, friends and belonging. It’s a busy time, with friends and family travelling to share their time with others. But when those close to us are far away, it can also be a lonely time of year.
The ‘2014 Canowindra Christmas Day Luncheon’ is sponsored by local community organisations and businesses. It provides an opportunity for people to come together and share a meal among friends. The luncheon will be held at the Canowindra Bowling Club in Ryall Street, which offers a great venue with disability access. Bookings are essential and can be made at Toby’s Butchery, St. Vincent de Paul, Canowindra Food Basket and Canowindra Health Centre. ‘Thank You’ to each of these facilities for providing this support. We are in need of other members of the community to join us in ‘lending a hand’ on the day or throughout the preparations leading up to Christmas. If you are interested in volunteering or would like further information please contact Lyn on 0409867002 or Marion on 6344 1716.
By Deb Rutter, on behalf of the Canowindra Christmas Day Luncheon Committee.
