There are two important AGMs being held in the coming weeks with the Canowindra Progress Association holding their meeting on Wednesday 31st July and the Canowindra Challenge Incorporated with their meeting on Thursday 8th August. Both meetings will commence at 6pm and both will be held at The Canowindra Services Club.
There will also be a community meeting at the conclusion of both of these AGMs and all are welcome to attend.
The Canowindra Progress Association has been operating for one year and in that time has held meetings monthly where community issues and concerns have been raised, and has successfully delivered the Christmas Markets including the purchase and decorating of the Christmas Tree for Gaskill Street and the Canowindra Street Party and BBQ Masters Competition, with all events being widely attended.
The Canowindra Challenge Incorporated Committee works tirelessly each year to deliver a bigger and better Balloon Festival for the town and the region as a whole.
The positive economic impact this festival delivers each year is unmatched to any other event in our region and is growing in size each year. The added additions of the extra events this year such as the Open Gardens, Flickerfest at Rosnay, Canowindra Public School P&C Trivia Night and the outdoor Friday night concert put on by Roundbox Events – just to name a few, were extremely well received.
