The Canowindra community is being asked to step forward and have a voice in the town’s future, with two important Annual General Meetings (AGMs) scheduled for August.
Both the Canowindra Challenge Incorporated (Balloon Festival) and the Canowindra Progress Association are calling for passionate new members to join their committees and help drive these foundational organisations forward.
First on the calendar is the Canowindra Challenge Incorporated AGM, which will be held at the Canowindra Services Club on Thursday 6 August, 2026, at 6pm. As the driving force behind the town’s worldrenowned balloon festival, this committee plays an essential role in delivering Canowindra’s biggest annual tourism card.
New members are encouraged to bring fresh ideas and energy to ensure this spectacular event continues to soar.
The following week, the Canowindra Progress Association will host its AGM on Thursday 13 August, 2026, at 6pm. The Progress Association serves a crucial function as a strong advocate for local infrastructure, community projects, and town improvement. To continue playing this vital role in the community, the association is actively seeking civic-minded residents to step into committee roles.
