Cabonne Daroo Business Award Finalists…

3 October, 2018 By editor

A record 176 finalists have been announced for the 2018 Cabonne Daroo Business Awards, which showcase the quality and diversity of businesses based in Cabonne Shire.

Mayor Kevin Beatty said the Daroos put the spotlight on Cabonne businesses and organisations that demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their service or management. “The profile of the awards has grown substantially since their inception in 2000 and they are now regarded as one of the major
events on the regional business calendar,” he said.

“I can assure you they are highly sought by a range of businesses, organisations and individuals throughout Cabonne, as evidenced by the record number of nominations and finalists this year.”

Awards chairman Bruce Buchanan, said the Daroos had become the template for similar events in smaller regional areas. “The awards introduced a new category this year for businesses that have future proofed their operations through innovation and I am delighted six finalists will be vying for this inaugural award,” Mr Buchanan said.

Future proofing is the theme for this year’s awards and this year’s new category follows the introduction last year of a category for businesses fostering disability inclusion. Ticket sales have opened for the presentation dinner at Eat Your Greens function centre at Eugowra and some tables have already sold out.

Tickets can be purchased online for $66 each by going to the awards website www.daroobusinessawards.com.au
