Pennie Scott welcomes people to apply for the Maker’s Market to be held later in July.
A Makers Market will be run in Canowinrdra on Sunday, 23rd of July from 10am to 3pm at Rosnay Organic Vineyard and Cellar Door.
The Central West of NSW is home to hundreds of creative geniuses including designing, landscaping, visual arts, sculpture and ceramics, music, recycling and upcycling furniture, clothing and homewares, textile technicians who take raw fibres and transform them into glorious home and wearable items, illustrators, food fashionistas, plants-people and more.
This market is for makers who respect, honour and care deeply for our precious earth, creating a festival for her by bringing her natural, wonderful gifts turned into wondrous items to educate and enrich peoples’ lives. The Makers’ Market is carefully curated to meet this ethos.
Pennie Scott, aka the Bush Goddess, is no stranger to creating a market. In 2014, she established the weekly Eat Local Thursday farmers market in Wagga, which continues to this day.
“The rationale behind establishing this market was to enable connections between small-scale and chemical free producers, and the people who wantto ensure the food they were buying was grown holistically, and the full value of the produce went straight into the growers’ pockets, not middle-agents”, Pennie explained.
The Rosnay Organic Vineyard and Cellar Door are well known for their events and are delighted to host this event. In addition to the visiting Makers’ the Rosnay Organic wines, olive and fig products will also be available for tasting and purchase.
