The Central West of NSW is home to hundreds of creative geniuses including designing, landscaping, visual arts, sculpture and ceramics, music, recycling and up cycling furniture, clothing and homewares, textile technicians who take raw fibres and transform them into glorious home and wearable items, illustrators, food fashionistas, plants-people and more.
All of this talent will be showcased at the Maker’s Market, being hosted by Bush Goddess Events on Sunday 21st April from 10am – 3pm at Rosnay Organic Vineyard and Cellar Door, 510 Rivers Road.
This market is for Makers who respect, honour and care for Mother Earth, bringing the wonderful natural gifts from her and created into beautiful items to enrich peoples’ lives. The Makers’ Market is carefully curated to meet this ethos.
Pennie Scott, aka the Bush Goddess, is no stranger to creating a market. In 2014, she established the weekly Eat Local Thursday farmers market in Wagga, which continues to this day.
“The rationale behind establishing the ELT market was to enable connections between small-scale and chemical free food producers, and the people who wanted to ensure the food they were buying was grown holistically, and the full value of the produce went straight into the growers’ pockets, not middle-agents”, Pennie explained.
“Small-scale and home-based enterprises have limited opportunities to open their ‘shops’. Themed and curated markets are a multi-faceted experience for the Makers and the visitors attracted by the uniqueness of the creations with mutual benefits for the local economy,” Pennie concluded.
