No bowls were played on Tuesday due to Canowindra hosting the District Triples on Monday 6th June to Wednesday 8th June. Sadly all four of the Canowindra teams have been defeated. Results of the District Triples winners will be in next week’s news. Club members would like to express and extend their deepest sympathy to the family of Gwynne Rice who passed away on Friday 3rd June in Parkes at the great age of 101. Gwynne was the current patron of the CWDWA and was loved and respected by all who knew her. She and her husband lived in Canowindra many years ago and Gwynne was a wonderful member of the club.

On Sunday 12th June the O’Brien Cup will be held; M Baldwin and R Traves v N Knight and B Lees. P Kennedy and S Fisher v C Webb and J Preston. Consistency Singles; V Mirto v R Brooks, marker D Beath.
A mixed mufti triples day will be held on Sunday 19th June. 9am roll up for a 9.30am start. The first prize will be $180 and second prize $120. The day is sponsored by BCIB Insurance and will feature round winners. $60 per team with lunch provided. Mixed mufti bowls continues this Thursday with names in by 1.30pm for a 2pm start, all are welcome.
Wednesday’s badge draw is $800 and Friday’s is also $800.
