MEN’S BOWLS
Last Saturday the minor fours final was played, with Bob Bates, Phil Sargent, Ron Brooks and Bob Robson against Pat Kennedy, Brian McClintock and Steve and Ken Fisher. Bob Bates’ team led for most of the way to win 22-11. Last Sunday the first round of pennants were played. The no. 4’s won against Parkes 9-1 while the no. 7’s were defeated by Gooloogong 9-1.

WOMEN’S BOWLS
Last Thursday a 4th round no. 4 Pennant was played at Forbes with the result ending
in a draw with an aggregate of 36-36. On Tuesday two 5th round matches were played. The No. 3’s defeated Parkes with an aggregate of 43-38, winning one rink each. Canowindra scored 4 points and Parkes 1 point. Thanks to Dianne Mooney for filling in for Gwen Haydon. The No. 4’s
were defeated by Parkes Railway Diggers with an aggregate of 41-33, winning both
rinks and scoring the maximum 5 points.
Thanks to Joice McNaught for filling in for Jenny Middleton and to Umpire Ron Bryant. There was one game of social triples played Jeanette Wheeldon, Bobbie Turner & Rose Veal defeated Pauline Carroll, Joyce Middleton and Diane Slattery 19-13.
