MEN’S BOWLS
Last Saturday a Major Singles Match was played with Brent Lees against Vinnie Mirto. Vinnie was always in control throughout the game leading 15-0 after 9 ends. Vinnie won the match 31-23.

Last Sunday three Minor Singles matches were played. Ron Symons played against Nick Delaney with Nick winning the game 33-22. Garry Fairley played Tony Tuimauga. After 25 ends Garry led 22-21 but then Tony scored 10 shots in the last few ends to win the game 31-24. Terry Mooney had a comfortable win against Brian (Clinka) McClintock.

Friday February 22 – Twilight barefoot mixed mufti bowls with names in by 6pm for 6.30pm start. One game of 15 ends being turn around triples.
Saturday February 23 – Major Singles – R Traves v I Nelder and Marker A Robson. P Lees v L Nunn and Marker B Lees. D Beath v S Kirkman and Marker Z Lees. P Taylor v C Webb and Marker V Mirto. Minor Pairs – T Mooney and B McClintock v T Tuimauga and A Wyburn.
Sunday February 24 – Major Pairs – B Lees and Z Lees v D Beath and N Delaney. Nominations are still open for the Major and Minor Fours.

Sunday badge draw will be $550 drawn between 5pm and 6pm. Must be in the club to win. Raffles to be drawn at 5.30pm with tickets on sale from 4pm. Friday badge draw will be $1,100. Bingo this Thursday 11am.

WOMEN’S BOWLS
Two Semi Finals of the Minor Singles were played on Tuesday, 19th. Diane Slattery defeated Radka Tatterson 25-17. Betty Jenkins defeated Liz Thornberry 27-24. Two Major Singles 1st round matches were played on Tuesday, 19th. Christine Pickard defeated Nancy Morrow 25-15. Deanna Noble defeated Colleen Crump 25-18.

Thanks to the markers Leanne Stevenson, Jeanette Wheeldon, Joyce Middleton and Jill Messenger.

There were two social games played. Bobbie Turner, Moyna Rue and Dianne Mooney defeated Linda Miller, Jenny Daly and Gwen Haydon 21-14. Libby Balcombe and Jenny Middleton defeated Sandy Mc- Donald and Jo Davies 22-19.

The Lucky Draw was won by Jenny Middleton with No. 16.

The Pennant players will practice on Thursday, 28th February commencing at 8.30am. This will continue until the Pennants commence on 19th March.
