MENS BOWLS

Good luck to our bowlers who will compete in the Zone Presidents Singles this weekend. Roger Traves and Steve Kirkman will travel to Cowra while Peter Taylor will travel to Orange Country Club.

Friday February 15 – Twilight barefoot mixed mufti bowls with names in by 6pm for 6.30pm start. One game of 15 ends being turn around triples.
Saturday February 16 – Major Singles – B Lees v V Mirto and Marker C Webb. P Lees v L Nunn and Marker B Webb.
Sunday February 17 – Minor Singles – R Symons v N Delaney and Marker L Nunn. G Fairley v T Tuimauga and Marker D Watt. B McClintock v T Mooney and Marker D Beath.

Nominations are still open for the Major and Minor Fours.

Thanks to those members who worked on the greens and surrounds.

Sunday badge draw will be $500 drawn between 5pm and 6pm. Must be in the club to win. Raffles to be drawn at 5.30pm with tickets on sale from 4pm. Friday badge draw will be $1,000. Bingo this Thursday 11am.

WOMEN’S BOWLS

Four matches were played in the first round of the Minor Singles on Tuesday, 12th February. Radka Tatterson defeated Leanne Stevenson 25-18. Diane Slattery defeated Joyce Middleton 25-12. Betty Jenkins defeated Jeanette Wheeldon 25-22. Liz Thornberry defeated Linda Miller 26-19. Christine Pickard was Linda’s helper during this match. Thanks to the markers Gwen Haydon, Moyna Rue, Libby Balcombe and Jo Davies.

There were two social games played. Bobbie Turner/Nancy Morrow, Jill Messenger and Dianne Money defeated Jenny Daly, Colleen Crump and Sheryn O’Malveney 25-11. Jean Roth, Daph Bryant and Jenny Middleton defeated Karen Cox, Sandy McDonald and Deanna Noble 23-19.

The Lucky Draw was won by Jenny McDonald with No. 28.

Matches drawn to be played next Tuesday, 19th February.
