MEN’S BOWLS
Last Saturday a major fours game was played between Bob, Jono, Cyril and Bruce and Ron, Terry, Brent and Vinnie. Bruce’s team took control, winning 22-13.
On Sunday in major singles, Teddy played Vinnie in a close game, with the lead constantly changing. The game was locked up at 30 all with Vinnie snatching the lead at the last end to win 31-30. Also in major singles Roger Traves defeated Darryl Byrne 31-6. In minor singles Ken Fisher played Daryl Byrne with Ken dominating in the lead until the last three ends when Daryl levelled the scores at 29 all. On the second to last end Daryl scored one to take the lead 30-29 and on the last end Ken got out of jail by scoring three to win the game 32- 30. Also in minor singles Pay Kennedy had a close win over Jono Preston with 31-26.
On Saturday 20th February there will be major fours with M Baldwin, R Brooks, M Wright, I Nelder versus G Wilson, D Byrne, M Lawrence and A Robson while on Sunday 21st major pairs will see D Byrne and G Wilson take on M Wright and I Nelder and R Traves and P Taylor tackle M Lawrence
and A Robson. Good luck to Bob Bates and Terry Mooney who travel to Caragabal this Sunday to play in a semi-final of the district senior pairs.
Wednesday badge draw $300. Friday badge draw $1,000 with a second optional draw of $200. Bingo this Thursday 11am.

There were two social triples games played: Rose Veal, Radka Tatterson &
Nancy Morrow defeated Jeanette Wheeldon, Deanna Noble & Sandy McDonald. A big welcome to Jeanette for trying out the game of bowls. Joyce Middleton, Bobbie Turner & Ellen Petty had a 24 all draw against Joice McNaught and Dianne Mooney. Joice played lead & second. Two bowling members are celebrating birthdays in February, Karen Cox on the 12th and
Bobbie Turner on the 17th, it’s the big 90 for Bobbie!
