WOMEN’S BOWLS
Two matches were played on Tuesday with the minor singles semi final and the Handicapped three bowls pairs being played. Betty Jenkins defeated Jenny Middleton 25-22 in the minor singles. Special thanks to marker Sheryn O’Malveney.
Handicap round two Daph Bryant & Margaret Gosper defeated Joyce Middleton & Gwen Haydon 19-18. There were three social games played two triples and one fours. Jacqui Martin, Ellen Petty & Sandy McDonald defeated Leanne Stevenson, Deanna Noble & Nancy Morrow 15-14.
Bobbie Turner, Penny Nash & Radka Tatterson defeated Jeanette Wheeldon, Marion Wilson & Christine Pickard 17-13. Shirley Robson, Shirley Robson, Anne Zaino & Libby Balcombe defeated Joice McNaught, Linda Miller, Jill Messenger & Diane Slattery 19-14.
A big welcome to Leanne Stevenson & Jacqui Martin coming to try out the game of bowls, also to Anne Zaino coming over from Woodstock. The Lucky Draw was won by Christine Pickard with No. 13. The team of Linda Miller, Jenny Middleton & Betty Jenkins represented our Club at Parkes Railway Diggers Presidents Day held on Wednesday 2nd November coming home with the Runners-up Trophy. They all enjoyed their day in Parkes. On 19th November we celebrate our 75th Birthday.
MEN’S BOWLS
Last Sunday Gwen Haydon and Mark Wright played against Betty Jenkins and Rodger Traves with Gwen and Mark leading the majority of the game to win 29-23. Joice McNaught and Vinnie Mirto played against Sandy McDonald and Ron Lynch, with Joice and Vinnie leading throughout the game to win 31-22. Saturday November 12- Mixed Pairs- M Lawrence and J Trimbell V K Walker and S O’Malveney. B Webb and E Traves V B Lees and J Davies. Sunday November 13- Mixed mufti bowls with names in by 1.30pm for 2.00pm start.
