MEN’S BOWLS
Last Saturday a semi-final of the major singles was played between Duncan and Vinnie. For the majority of the game the scores were close with the lead changing many times. After 27 ends the score was 22-20 in favour of Duncan. Then, unfortunately for Duncan, he dropped eight shots
in consecutive ends giving the lead to Vinnie 28-22. Duncan was unable to bridge the gap, with Vinnie winning the game 31-25. Best of luck Vinnie in the final against Brent Lees.
Saturday June 25th Major Fours Final:
B Bates, J Preston, C Webb and B Webb vs P Kennedy, P Taylor, R Traves and D Beath. O’Brien Cup: M Wright, K Fisher vs I Nelder and S Kirkman. Following completion of these matches will be the men’s bowls presentation for 2015 with a sausage sizzle.
Sunday June 26th Major Singles Final: V Mirto vs B Lees, Marker I Nelder. Major Triples Final- J Preston, N Delaney and B McClintock vs J Breen, S Fisher and K Fisher. Consistency Singles- C Webb vs P Kennedy, Marker D Beath. R Traves vs N Knight, Marker M Lawrence. Mixed mufti bowls will continue this Thursday 23rd June with names in by 1.30pm for 2pm start. All welcome. Bring a friend. Wednesday badge draw $900. Friday badge draw $1000.

WOMEN’S BOWLS
No bowls were played on Tuesday 21st June due to the bad weather. Hoping for a better day next Tuesday. The District Senior Fours and the District Fours which were to have commenced on Monday 20th June have been postponed due to the wet weather. They will now be played on Monday 4th July through to Wednesday 6th July. Ladies do not forget the club’s Annual General Meeting is being held on Tuesday 28th June after bowls.
