Blue Hue In Canowindra

7 November, 2019 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

A blue hue will be over Canowindra’s main street from the 16th – 23rd November 2019. “Movember” over the years has become the month to acknowledge Men’s Health, and Canowindra along with Eugowra and Cargo would like to participate in supporting and making information available to the general public, especially in the Cabonne Council area.

The effect that the ongoing drought has had on farmers and the small towns and villages has been devastating and it is the husbands, fathers, sons, brothers, uncles and friends who neglect their health with the “she’ll be right mate” attitude when they should be urged to seek medical opinion.

Mental Health, Prostate Cancer, Melanoma plus other ailments, are all serious illnesses and menfolk must be encouraged to visit their health practitioner and get checked out, this is essential for their family’s peace of mind and for the community who value them.

The Canowindra Business and Progress Association are asking Shops in Canowindra, Eugowra and Cargo to decorate their windows in blue to support this worthwhile cause.

This event is proudly supported by Cabonne Council and for further information please contact Jenny Weaver on 6344 1335.
