
Warren and Rose Lawson were excited to win the competition for the second year in a row with their entertaining window with Mrs Claus reading letters.
Fairy lights, Christmas trees, reindeers, snowflakes, Santa’s and even Mrs Claus reading letters were just some of the Christmas items on display for the annual Christmas in July Window Display Competition in Canowindra.
The Canowindra Phoenix hosts the event each year, proudly supported by Cabonne Council and encourages local businesses to get involved and decorate their shop windows to help drive visitors to the Village.
Judging took place last Thursday with the Phoenix team of Kelly and Roselea and Cabonne Council representatives Jenny Weaver, Laura Lewis-Minogue and Lynne Hawkes helping out.
The winner was The Blue Bowerbird, Debbie Rice at Canowindra Newsagency received runner up and the St Vincent De Paul’s store won the People’s Choice Award on votes.
