Big Win For Mini Horse

29 April, 2026 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

Canowindra horse Winterfell Hashtag Breaking Dawn has been sashed Supreme Grand Nationals Amateur Miniature Horse at the IMHR Grand National Show.

The 2026 Independent Miniature Horse Registry (IMHR) Grand National Show was held from 16 – 19 April, at AELEC in Tamworth. This premier event features miniature breeds of horses and ponies from all over the country, across a variety of classes.

Canowindra’s Jo-Anne White and daughter Kristy Howard took four miniature horses to the event and competed in a variety of performance classes, carriage driving, trail/obstacle and jumping over the four days.

Overall, all four of their miniature horses placed well in classes, but it was their miniature horse Sassy (Winterfell Hashtag Breaking Dawn) who came away with the title of Supreme Grand Nationals Amateur Miniature Horse – one of the highest awards of the entire show. Congratulations!
