The Central Western Group of the CWA of NSW are pleased to host the 101st Annual State Conference in Bathurst from 7th – 11th May commencing with an Interfaith Service at the Cathedral of St Michael and St John at 5pm on Sunday 7th . A smoking ceremony will precede the service at 4pm.
The Official Opening is on Monday, 8th May at 9.30am with Keynote Speaker Ms Shanna Whan, creator and founder of “Sober in the Country” and 2022 Australian of the Year Local Hero winner.
The business sessions occur over Monday to Thursday when many motions on policy for our organisation will be presented, discussed and voted on.
These issues affect many country Australians and with the strength of the CWA, the largest women’s organisation in our country, behind them, many will become law.
It is expected that between 700 and 800 women will attend the conference, which will provide a huge economic benefit to Bathurst and surrounds.
Exhibitions of handicraft, The Land cookery state finals, agricultural and environment, cultural and international will be displayed across several venues in Bathurst CBD. These are open to the public daily.
