The 2022 Canowindra International Balloon Challenge kicked off last Saturday with a large crowd heading to the Canowindra Oval for the inaugural enLIVEn Festival.
The crowd was treated to an amazing show with Clancy Pye, James Johnston, Robbie Mortimer, Eskimo Joe and Jon Stevens all performing live to an excited local audience.
The balloons have been filling the skies above Canowindra each morning and afternoon (when weather permits) competing for the 2022 Balloon Challenge title this week and will all come together on Saturday for a special day in the Village.
The Cabonne Community Glow is the signature event of the Canowindra International Balloon Challenge and will be held on Saturday 9th April at the Canowindra Sports Oval.
The Cabonne Community Glow will be an amazing family friendly spectacle and should not be missed.
This year’s event will showcase hot air balloons who will inflate just after sunset and then light up the night sky synced to music. It’s not all about the balloons though. There will also be a huge range of local food and wine offerings for you at the 2022 Cabonne Community Night Markets that will tempt you to eat and drink more than you should. Bring a blanket, pick a spot on the green grass and enjoy the afternoon.
The entertainment line-up is great too with Cranbury Jam, Neil Gill and James Johnston all performing live.
All of this for only $10 per adult and $2 for under 18 (plus booking fee). You would be crazy to be anywhere else! To grab a ticket head to 123tix.com.au
The Challenge will conclude on Sunday 10th April with the Small Acres Key Grab where balloons launch from a site of their choosing, with the aim to fly in to the Sports Oval and try and pluck a large key from the top of a flagpole.
