The historic guesthouse, The Old Vic Inn, will be holding a five
course dinner on the beautiful balcony overlooking Gaskill Street
on 18th March and a five course luncheon on 20th March. This is
a great chance for foodies and view lovers alike to sample what
Canowindra and the district have to offer, with food and wine all
sourced locally.
The menu is sure to tantalise the taste buds with dishes such as
Ploughman’s soup served with crusty bread and homemade chutney,
marinated beef strip, mushroom and feta bruschetta, roasted
quail with rosemary, thyme and garlic, fillet of pork stuffed with fig,
cheese and apple farce and for dessert a rustic apple and cherry
pie.
And as if the fare isn’t enough to tempt you, Friday’s dinner will be
accompanied by jazz band, The Red Hot Papas and Sunday lunch
