The last couple of weeks I have been travelling to schools and delivering to teachers a program called “Breathe, Move, Meditate.” This program draws upon the well-known principles of breathing, moving your body and meditating to improve overall learning and behavior in the school environment. Of course the same principles can be applied to optimum outcome of whatever you desire in your life – health, relationships, happiness and so on.
Although we know this premise works, it will only work if we do it AND we will only do it if we believe there is a need and we are comfortable with the practice. It is the same with anything in our life. We know of lots of things we can do to improve our health. How do we choose and stick with, the right thing for us?
I would like to introduce you to an acronym to help you make and maintain the best choices for you.
A TRIPLE C
A – Awareness. Be aware of how you are. Feel into your body, notice your mind and thoughts, notice your breath. Once you are aware of how you are and what you feel you need, then..
C- Choice. Make a choice. From all the knowledge you have and maybe even some research, make a choice that you think will meet your needs. The most important thing about this choice is..
C- Comfort. Is this choice comfortable for you? Just because Julie Smith did this and it worked for her, doesn’t mean it’s the rightchoice for you. This will only work if you are comfortable with the choice. If you aren’t comfortable go back and make another choice. Then once you are comfortable with the choice for you,
C- Consistency. You will be able to be consistent with your choice and follow through
with whatever you have decided.
There is so much information, what is the right choice for YOU? If it all goes pear shaped, go back and start again. Awareness is the key.
