Aussies Urged To Get Their ‘flannos’ Ready This August To Show Farmers We’ve Got Their Backs!

6 August, 2025 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

This August, Farm Angels is calling on all Australians to throw on their favourite flannelette shirt and stand in solidarity with the people that put food on our table and clothes on our back – Aussie farmers.

The official ‘Flanno for a Farmer’ day is Friday, August 15th, but Farm Angels are encouraging Australians to support farming families in need throughout the entire month of August.

The funds raised from ‘Flanno for a Farmer’ go towards providing essential emotional support, financial assistance, food hampers, care packs and personalised support to thousands of farming families across Australia.

Founder of Farm Angels, Natasha Johnston says backing our farmers has never been more important.

“Too often, our farmers are struggling in silence. They’re out there doing one of the toughest jobs in the country, yet many feel forgotten. Flanno for a Farmer is about saying, ‘We see you. We appreciate you. And we’ve got your back.’ Every dollar raised helps us provide real, practical support for those who need it most,” said Natasha.

‘Flanno for a Farmer’ is aiming to raise $500k this year. To sign up, donate or find out more, visit flannoforafarmer.com.au
