Arts OutWest’s executive director Dr Tracey Callinan has just been appointed CEO of state peak body Regional Arts NSW.
Arts OutWest, the Regional Arts Development Organisation for Central West NSW, are now on the search for their next Executive Director to lead the organisation.
Dr Callinan has been Executive Director of Arts OutWest since 2009. “Whilst the Board and staff of Arts OutWest are sad to see Tracey go we are equally excited for her to be taking on the leadership of the peak organisation,” said Arts OutWest Chair, Fran Charge.
“In the thirteen years that she has been at the helm, Tracey has overseen the growth of Arts OutWest both in terms of the income for the organisation and the increase in staff,” Mrs Charge said.
“In that time Arts OutWest has delivered many projects, carving out a reputation in areas such as arts and health, Aboriginal arts development and cultural tourism while continuing to strengthen the work in supporting the sector, providing professional development, media reach and partnership development,” Mrs Charge said.
The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience working in communities with multiple stakeholders, be passionate about facilitating opportunities for local artists and have a clear understanding of the complexities of the regional arts sector, across various art forms.
Recruitment for the position of Executive Director at Arts OutWest is now underway. Applications close 31 January 2022. The recruitment package can be found at artsoutwest.org.au. Enquiries can be made to call Fran Charge, Chair on 0407 103 529.
