Aqua aerobics participants fawewell the summer season.
Another successful summer of low impact aqua aerobics finished up at the Canowindra Swimming Pool last Thursday, 20 March. Thank you to all that took part and thank you for making this a fabulously fun group.
Run by the Canowindra Health Service Physiotherapy Department, this healthy exercise program is a proven effective exercise method for training adults to reduce their risk of falling. From a work out perspective, being in the pool is great cardio vascular exercise that puts significantly less stress on your joints. It is particularly beneficial for overweight and older people with arthritis.
While our bodies might change as we age, we can still get many benefits from being active. And you can get these benefits without joining a gym or buying special gear.
As the weather cools the Low Impact Group starts back at the Physiotherapy Department at Canowindra Soldiers Memorial Hospital for autumn, winter and spring this week at 9am both Monday and Thursdays.
If you are interested in joining this Low Impact Exercise Group please telephone Ang Ellis at the hospital on 6364 4301 and discuss your exercise needs. We look forward to seeing you get active.
