NAB CLOSURE
I was extremely disappointed to hear that the National Australia Bank has given notice that it’s closing its Canowindra branch. I’ve written to the head of the bank and spoken to its representatives but when I spoke to them on Tuesday they still wouldn’t budge.
Thank you to Cheryl Newsom for raising the alarm on this issue.
What makes the closure even more galling is the support that Canowindra farmers, businesses and individuals have given the bank for so many years. That’s what I told the NAB. I’ll keep the community posted on developments.
