DROUGHT INFORMATION SESSIONS
All farmers and graziers are welcome to attend a drought information session at the Bathurst Bulldogs Rugby Club on Thursday 31st May from 9.30am – 12.30pm or at the Nashdale Hall on Thursday 31st May from 2-5pm. The sessions have been organised to connect landholders with resources to help them manage through drought.
Local Land Services staff will cover livestock feeding and management, quick to feed options, animal health, and available drought resources. This is an interactive session, so come with questions!
Local representatives from the NSW Rural Assistance Authority, the Rural Financial Counselling Service, the NSW DPI Rural Resilience Program, and The Rural Adversity Mental Health Program will also be attending and are available for advice. SOIL AND PASTURE HEALTH WORKSHOP IN CANOWINDRA
On Thursday June 14th the Central Tablelands Local land Services will hold a Soil and Pasture Health Workshop in Canowindra. Topics to be discussed on the day include investigating the Soil’s physical, chemical and biological factors that drive a healthy and productive system. Discussions will also centre around the ideal soil conditions needed for adequate legume and pasture growth and nutrient cycling.
