The Age of Fishes Museum proudly received the NSW Museum and Galleries IMAGinE Awards in the category of Audience Development, Education and Marketing for its Take Away Fish promotions vehicle.
The IMAGinE Awards were held on Friday 8 November, and offer a unique opportunity to acknowledge and promote the achievements of the NSW museum and gallery sector and the people who work in it.
Museum manager Fiona Ferguson said the award was a “wonderful reward for the Board, volunteers and the grant providers of the Take Away Fish.”
The Take Away Fish vehicle was designed in 2009 for educational and marketing purposes, and carries all of the educational resources and marketing materials that the Museum requires to deliver programs off-site.
The 15 year old Museum also received a highly commended award last year for the hand held professional audio tour, that told the story of the discovery and excavation of the 360 million year old Canowindra Fish Fossils, and were also finalists in this year’s Daroo Awards.
A huge congratulations to Fiona and her team.
