On the 11th of November, on an overcast day in Canowindra, the schools and locals alike had gathered at the Canowindra Memorial Park to show their respects and remember those who had served our country.
“The three schools did a great job,” Michael Harrison said, “It was great to see the involvement of the schools and the people today.”
“When you think of the soldiers that have served or passed on, especially these days in places like Afghanistan, Iraq, or Timor, they have done a fine job serving our country.” Michael said.
“With future services I see them getting bigger post-Covid, there is more involvement with schools now coming down to remember the men that had served Australia.”
Beautiful wreaths were laid to show respect to past and present soldiers of Australia, followed by a minute’s silence.
Michael Harrison said, “If you are going to take anything away from today, appreciate Australia for what it is, bring Australia forward and make it a better country.”
