A New Era Of Entertainment Arrives In Cowra With Cabaret La Fantaisie

This July, Cowra audiences will step into a world of music, glamour, comedy and sto­rytelling as Cabaret La Fantaisie makes its highly anticipated debut at Club Cowra.

Presented by the newly formed Cowra Cabaret Company, the production promises an unforgettable evening of live entertain­ment — blending heartfelt moments, laughout-loud comedy, stunning vocals, theatrical storytelling and dazzling dance performanc­es into one immersive experience.

But behind the feathers, lights and cabaret sparkle lies something even more meaning­ful: a celebration of community, collabora­tion, and the passing of creative knowledge from one generation to the next.

At the heart of the production is Lisa Fla­nagan, whose passion for performance and commitment to community arts helped bring the vision to life. Alongside fellow direc­tors Claudia Harrison and Emily Reynolds, the trio have spent months developing the show.

The cast itself reflects a rich blend of local experience and emerging talent. Audiences can expect performances from Dominic Le­narduzzi, Caleb Lees, Emily Reynolds, Law­rance Ryan, Robyn Ryan, Kayla Hall, Marc McLeish, Melissa Stewart, Shane Kerr, Ima­jen Peihopa, Bekki Brown and Zoe White, alongside interstate guest artists from Minx Cabaret including Shelley Spencer, Kylie Minns and Josie Robinson.

The production also features Musical Ar­ranger and Performer Caleb Lees, whose arrangements help shape the show’s evolv­ing sound, while Lawrance Ryan will guide audiences through the evening as MC with his signature charisma and humour.

A special highlight of the production is the involvement of Tommy Jeffs, whose perfor­mances are known not only for their humour and theatrical flair, but also for their long standing commitment to fundraising and charitable causes within the community.

The production also shines a spotlight on one of Cowra’s most enduring community organisations — the Cowra District Band.

Traditionally recognised as a brass band, the ensemble has evolved over time into a more versatile concert band, adapting to the changing needs and interests of the com­munity.

Dance also plays a major role in bringing the cabaret atmosphere to life under the expert tutelage of Dance Captain Hayley Smith, whose leadership and passion have helped shape many of the show’s large en­semble performances.

Cabaret La Fantaisie will be held at Club Cowra on July 10 and 11, with organisers hoping the production becomes an ongo­ing feature of Cowra’s growing cultural and tourism calendar.
