Dot Cain and Tommy Jeffs are the organisers of the Canowindra Memorial Hospital fundraiser.
This Sunday, 19 December, will see Tommy Jeffs’ Montrose House come alive with fun, fashion, drinks and great food, all in the name of raising funds for a great town asset – The Canowindra Soldiers Memorial Hospital.
Organisers, Dot Cain and Tommy Jeffs came together to put on the day after a chance conversation between the two.
“I have had some beautiful Summer stock come into the shop and Tommy and I wanted to do a special day for the town, to raise funds for the Canowindra Soldiers Memorial Hospital,” Dot explains.
“We would really be lost without our Hospital. People can come and convalesce there after major operations, know that they are getting the best treatment from our Nurses and Doctors, and there are lots of us that have said goodbye to loved ones over the years. We are very lucky indeed to have this in our town”
On the day, you can expect the welcoming hospitality of Tommy Jeffs who will be catering with delicious food and drinks. Fashion on Gaskill will be putting on the fashion parade, showcasing the latest trends for summer with lots of summer dresses, hats, tops and bags. The materials of the pieces are mostly 100% organic cotton and linens.
There will also be raffle items on the day, with tickets just $5. All the money from the raffle tickets will be going towards the fundraising effort. Great prizes include vouchers and products with special thanks going out to Tommy Jeffs, The Rose Garden, Blue Bowerbird, Synergy Hair, Kat’s Hair Design, The Canowindra Newsagency, Fashion on Gaskill and a special mention to Perrenialle Plants for their input.
Tickets are on sale now from Fashion on Gaskill and Blue Bowerbird for $25 per person. The fun starts at 1:00pm and commences through to 3:00pm. Fashion on Gaskill will be open from 3:00pm.
