The sale of books that took place on Gaskill Street over the Easter long weekend banked around $4000 which has taken the total inception of funds for West Clinical Trials for Breast and Prostate Cancer in Orange to over $24,000! “Thank you to Di, Craig, Leanne, John and Lorraine for giving many hours to the cause” said Jenny Cullane who praised
all who bought books and gave donations. The stall will also be open this weekend, 9th and 10th April.
Politicians Pedal Into Town: The annual charity bike ride known as the Pollie Pedal headed our way this week to raise money for Carers Australia. The riders left Canberra on Sunday, travelling over 1000km through regional NSW over 8 days. Today the riders will pass through Clyburn and Tilga Street in Canowindra on their way to Orange. With over two and a half million unpaid carers in Australia, Pollie Pedal will ride to show their support for the invisible
army of carers across our nation.
Mystery Bike Tour: This Saturday get your leathers on, hop on your motorbike and get ready to tour 5 mystery pub locations in aid of Ronald McDonald House. Never Forgotten: This week marks a year since Canowindra local Stephanie Scott’s life was taken from her. Though no longer with us, the much loved school teacher is definitely not forgotten, which is shown by the bright flashes of yellow, her favourite colour, that have appeared in the shop windows of Gaskill Street.
