On Wednesday 10th March there was a hot but welcome breeze over the course. The event was the clubs first monthly medal & putting. A grade was won by Julie Fairley with an impressive 69 Nett while B grade winner was Helen Kemper with a 73 Nett, making Julie the monthly medal winner.
Putting went to Joyce Middleton with 31 putts for the day. Ball sweep winner Julie & the lucky wheel winner was Maureen. Wednesday 17th March was a partner’s game playing 4BBB Vs Stableford. Each player played their own ball and the best Stableford points of the partners was recorded. Winners were Julie & Joyce with 44 points who will receive a trophy at presentation.
The event was kindly sponsored by Edna & Janet. Runners up were Annette & Eileen with 42 points. Highlights were a gobble by Julie & two from Eileen. Ann won the lucky wheel and Ros won the ball. It was great to see Ros out on the course again. Next week is a Par event. Eileen
managed to play at Wentworth; no great news there though. On Saturday April 2nd Ex-Services are holding their Tournament.
