St Raphael’s are celebrating the theme ‘I Belong, You Belong, We Belong’ this Catholic School’s Week which is fitting for a school that has been welcomed and supported within the community over generations.

2016 is a significant year for the students, parents and staff as for the first time ever the school is able to offer education beyond Year 10, with student’s now able to begin in kindergarten and graduate from Year 12. The school has undergone significant redevelopment and boasts state of the art facilities including science laboratories, constructions, hospitality, TAS classrooms and change room facilities.

In regards to secondary in 2016, the programme Learning Plus involves all secondary students and aims to foster relationships that enhance collaborative learning, models effective learning practices and creates healthy learning habits. For primary student’s the Guardian Angel programme will continue into this new year and has already nurtured many positive experiences.

The programme gives Year 6 students the opportunity to develop leadership and mentoring skills in orientating the newest students of the school community, Kindergarten, which creates a special bond that lasts. Students are never short of opportunities at St Raphael’s and are able to
expand upon their strengths whether it be musically with the school band and choir, in sport or in academia. St Raphael’s values the long standing relationships and partnerships that have developed with the community and families over generations while providing a rich Catholic education for the youth of Cowra, Canowindra and surrounding areas.
