A Royal Tradition

12 December, 2013 By Canowindra Phoenix Editor

It is becoming a tradition over the last couple of years – just before Christmas, local band Static Nomadic bring their mix of original songs and favourite covers to the Royal Hotel for a special show Static Nomadic contains locals Greg McLaren, Sam Statham, Simone Statham, Shaun Lawler and Andrew “Wooly” Wooldridge who have been playing together in bars, pubs, sheds, tents, paddocks, verandahs and kitchens for over 10 years.

The band fit the logistics of playing and rehearsal around working farm businesses, 9 young offspring, and having members based at Canowindra, Woodstock, Bondi and Musswellbrook – the band is both Static and Nomadic.

Lead singer Greg McLaren is looking forward to the night “We have had some huge nights playing our local Christmas gig at the Royal Hotel. It becoming an important tradition in our band and we always look forward to it.”

Static Nomadic are performing at the Royal Hotel Canowindra on Saturday 21st December from 8pm.
