Still haven’t started your Christmas shopping? This Saturday is the perfect time to start with the Canowindra Christmas Shopping Evening, where there will be extended trading hours from more than twenty-five participating stores and a lot of Christmas spirit.
“It’s all about showing people that there are a lot of great options in town for Christmas and asking them to consider spending money locally to support the local economy,” said Liz Mitchell, one of the organisers of the Christmas Shopping Evening.
“It’s important because small businesses give a lot to the town in the form of donations and sponsorships. Without these small businesses, those kinds of things don’t happen.” “The more vibrant the town is, the more people that come here and spend their money, and the more opportunity there is for local
businesses to thrive.”
There will be plenty of special Christmas offers and enough Christmas cheer to go around more than once with local entertainment on the veranda of the Old Vic Inn and a visit from Santa.
