Taxi journeys for only $5 from certain points around town will be made available to transport disadvantaged residents in Canowindra as part of a new Cabonne Community Transport trial. The trial will run for four weeks in November for residents who do not have a vehicle or are unable to drive. If the service is well supported during the trial period, it may continue on a permanent basis. If there is insufficient support, it will not continue. The service will run on Wednesday mornings on November 4, 11, 18 and 25 with seven designated pick-up points and times.
