The Canowindra Tigresses took on the girls from Burrangong Bears on Sunday. It was a game the girls were expected to win and they didn’t disappoint with a victory of 50-0.
Led by their stand-in skipper Mel Rue, the team showed a professional defence, holding their line against the Bears’ barrage of attacks.
After surviving the early onslaught, the floodgates opened. Teiya Thornberry and Alicia Earsman demonstrated great passing skills, hooking up with Hannah Roth and the electrifying Krystal Coker.
It was pleasing to see the middle runners backing up on the inside when breaks were made out wide, and their win was well deserved.
Player’s player was shared between Mel Rue and Krystal Coker.
