The Canowindra Bowling Club is currently receiving an upgrade, all thanks to the generous hard work of Deli Lama’s Tommy Jeffs, members of the Bowling Club and the support of the community. The new crockery and new tables have arrived, and the kitchen is in the process of a complete overhaul after the success of the Mother’s Day Fundraiser last month.
The next event raising funds for the Canowindra Bowling Club will be a Curry Night prepared by the Bowling Club and Tommy Jeffs to raise money for new curtains in the function room. A variety of beautiful home curries ranging in heat and flavour will be on offer, as well as chutneys, yoghurts, rice, pappadams and naan bread, with lovely English trifles to finish off.
Live music from local musicians and a surprise guest appearance will be the entertainment, and tickets are only $25. Don’t miss out on this great deal; round up all your friends and book your seat early for an evening of music and food culture in support of the community. Tickets are available at Deli Lama and must be picked up and paid for by Wednesday July 1st.
“We need 150 people for this event so we need Canowindra to support it,” said Tommy Jeffs. “As everyone knows, these events are really good for Canowindra and the Club is going to look fabulous when it’s finished.”
Down the track, there are plans in the pipeline for an Italian Night that will raise money for new carpet.
