Who says camels are only good for trudging round deserts and conserving water? If you like a punt and don’t mind humps come and celebrate the Easter Long weekend in Forbes at the Annual Forbes Camel Races! This unique event has been going for fourteen years and attracts hundreds of people to experience this one of a kind race. Featuring live music and entertainment, kids lolly drops and face painting, great food, push bike shearing, an RM Williams fashion parade, a sheep dog trial and a seven race program with the feature race the Graham Marsh Memorial Race, this is sure to be great fun for the whole family. Other events include an antique tractor display and Kristen School of Dance show. Gates open at 10am with the first race beginning at 11am. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for pensioners and kids under 16 free. So ‘hump it’ over to Forbes on Friday 3rd April and cheer on your favourite camel!
